Telcom-Data, a leader in data center equipment, is pleased to introduce the NEMA 12 rack cabinets (enclosures) from Great Lakes Case & Cabinet. The units are constructed to be compliant with the National Electrical Manufacturers Association’s Type 12 standard. The cabinets are designed for indoor use and provide protection against dust, falling dirt, water, and noncorrosive liquids, which makes this enclosure an excllent choice for warehouses and other industrial locations. The NEMA 12 rack cabinets boast many valuable features and benefits such as having a rugged build composed of heavy-duty hinges and handles. In order to regulate the temperature, the AC Side panels are configured with an internal baffle kit to direct hot and cold air and optional fan assemblies and exhaust filters can be added to the unit. The cabinets have cable access knockouts on the bottom, inside of enclosure to allow for a variety of cabling configurations. When Brian Franz, Regional Sales Manager at Great Lakes Case & Cabinet, was asked about the flexibility and cooling features of the NEMA 12 cabinets, he said, “When more equipment is installed and higher cooling capacity is needed, the enclosure side panel can simply be removed and replaced with a panel that accommodates larger AC units—a single enclosure can be upgraded to support increased cooling and cable management needs.” |
